Reds and greens are singed with the same melody.

After we talked about We wish you a merry Christmas song, we were asked quite often, if we would make a song from it. We were testing new music making computer, and it needed something real for checking it. So, we decided to make a old fashioned Christmas-Quickie from "We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year" Spent one afternoon with the arrangement and play. And released the song right after it.

The British Christmas tradition and the song were released during 1500's - After Christ ... Probably by three hungry or even starving musicians : Traditionally three people come to your door, and sing the song for you.

Times are rather bad. Six years from the last good Christmas, Christmas 2007. Therefore we decided to make our play so, that when you follow the lyrics, the hunger and need for food raises from the play. Christmas greetings are only a way to get food.

The original lyrics ( above ) contains old and rare words. In modern English :
- Good tidings means Good news / Good message.
- Kin refers to your family and relatives.
- Figgy-pudding is an ancient British Christmas pudding.

The Christmas wishes and Pudding story have a shared the melody. You can mix and sing them how ever you like.

The song had the best opening day from all of our Christmas songs - so far. It rose to the most liked song in here within few minutes, with a big cap to others.

We wish you a Merry Christmas opening was rather unusual also in another way. Song's popularity peaked during European night time. Usually the opening days go so, that the song's popularity peaks during European daytime. After few thoughts, we came to the conclusion, that Europeans knows the song very well and others were not that familiar with the song. There aren't any best selling records from the song.

The timing of the very popular European Christmas song conflicts with Christianity ... and Christian legend about Christmas and St Nicholaus. In Christianity Christmas traditions were born few hundred years after this Christmas Song. A song which talks about earlier Christmas traditions. So it has become sort of a banned and forbidden song.

The song is based on the 5-man-band ( = quintet ) classical arrangement from the song. It was enhanced with two drums / drum tracks. At the end of the song, there is a small bass effect. It was created with Ghost Drums. When you listen the effect with a good quality system, loud enough ... the effect can tickle your stomach, a little.

Ghost Drums have adjustable echo times. In this play the echoing time was adjusted so, that the previous bass drum hit echoes, when the new hit begins. The overlapping drum boosts the drum hits and basses in general. It is the thing which lifts the power of the song in the end.

+ + It's an old Waltz + +

The song is very old. It is some kind of pre-waltz. It has 6 hits per cycle, the time signature is 6/6. In principle you would have to have a six-step dance for it. But you can dance the song as Waltz and with Waltz steps.

But not this song, our play was lengthened so, that there are breaks between the cycles. If you want to dance, you must move your body freely, or improvise the breaks. Or hold a short break after verses. The last verse begins without a break. The song is Christmas Song, and breaks gave better sound to the song.

+ + JINGLING GHOSTS + +

Lady and Soldier Ghosts are at their workplace. In Ghost Base's reception.

"Christmas is coming" Lady Ghost says.
"Ten days to go." Soldier adds.

"Earth is still troubled place" Lady begins. "Has the council made any decisions ?"
"Not that I know." Soldier adds.

Suddenly the outdoor opens. A big visitor with thick fur and long beard comes in. He is followed by small assistants. At the top of their long triangle like hat, there is Jingle Bell. The jingling sound fills the hall.

The big visitor opens his jacket. "It's Christmas Guy" Lady whispers to Soldier.

Santa comes to the desk. "I have an appointment with the Council"
Lady takes a book. She looks down, and says "You are not mentioned in here"
Santa looks a bit dark, "I must go and ask the Council" Soldier says hastily and leaves the hall.

"What brought you here" Lady asks from Santa.
"Rudolf and Roni Reindeers ..." Santa's assistant responds. "... Sleigh" he ends.

"Shut up Joker ... Kids. My beloved kids brought me here" Santa responds.
"No. Joker was right ... We came here with sleigh. Dragged by Rudolf and Roni Reindeers" another assistant says.
"I meant to ask the reason, why you came here" Lady corrects her question.
Assistants look to each other, then they walk quietly away.

"Came to ask bodyguards for me." Santa says. "As you can see, my assistants are too small for big fights."
"Is your yearly journey in danger, once again" Lady asks.
"Some people never learn and never changes." Santa answers.
"I am very sorry to hear that." Lady says. Then she continues.
"It has been quiet in here, the Council has called Ghosts away from the front lines.
Quite sure, that the Council grants you protection for your Journey."

Soldier Ghost comes back. The conversion ends.
"You can go and meet the Council now" Soldier says to Santa.

Santa turns to his team and shouts "Lets go !" The jingling team leaves the hall.

Lady and Soldier are alone in hall.
"What he was up to ?" Soldier asks.
"He needs bodyguards for his Christmas journey." Lady answers.

Soldier is quiet for a while. He seems to think something.

"The humans ... they didn't get enough from the last Christmas" Soldier Ghost says.
"No. He said, that some people never change or learn." Lady answers.
"Aha." Soldier Ghost says, and continues "Your Christmas preparations, how far you are ?"
"Almost there." Lady answers. "What would you like to have ?"
"We have had space-turkey as main dish almost every Christmas." Soldier begins
"Something else for a change ?" Lady breaks.
"If you don't mind" Soldier says politely.
"Space roast ?" Lady asks.
"Or ham." Soldier replies. "Your parents, are they coming ?"
"No. They decided to go to some distant, warm and sunny star system for a Christmas" Lady answers.
"Mine spends the Christmas with my sister." Soldier says.
"So, we are alone this year." Lady concludes.
"Just you and me and the little one." Soldier says.

The big door to the Council's dome opens. Santa and his jingling team come out.

"Ou. You came, did you get your guards ?" Lady asks Santa.
"Yes I did." Santa answers.
"Happy for you." Soldier says.
"Don't know. The best would've been, if we didn't need the guards." Santa answers.
"But under the circumstances ..." Lady says.

Santa mumbles something messy in return. Then he turns to his elves.
"Got what we wanted, still lots of work to do before Christmas. So. Lets go."
The jingling team leaves the Ghost Base.

"Gee what a sound." Soldier says after the team..

July 23th 2013 - Wedding March
Lady and Soldier Ghosts' apartment.

It is evening. Soldier and Lady Ghost are at home. Lady is sitting on couch. Soldier sleeping on it, with his head in Lady's lap.

"Soldier, isn't it high time now" Lady Ghost begins.
"High time" Soldier opens his eyes. He looks at the clock. "Not, yet. It is only nine o'clock in the evening."
"I didn't mean sleeping." Lady responds.
"Well what did you mean ?" Soldier asks.
Lady is quiet for while. Then she begins with insecure, slightly shivering voice.
"Getting married, and have children." Lady says.
"Getting married." Soldier says with thoughtful voice. "What's wrong with our current relationship ?"
"We are doing just fine. So we could deepen it, have glamorous weddings at Ghost Chapel." Lady suggests.
"Weddings at Ghost Chapel with Ghost Balls cost a fortune." Soldier rejects the idea, and continues. "In town hall, you get married with marginal costs"

A shy smile raises on Lady's face "You don't resist."
"No. You have a point there. Maybe it is time ... to get more serious" Soldier responds.
"And have Ghost Kids" Lady continues.
"It's up to you. You have to take of them, after I am gone." Soldier says.

"If it's up to me, I want ... Ghost kids." Lady responds, and continues "You have been called back to active service ?"
"Not really. Been in active service all the time." Soldier responds.
"But have been serving here in secondary jobs" Lady says.
"After last mission, I said to council, that I want to stay here, and spend some time with you." Soldier explains.
"You were away for a long time. Missed you often." Lady says. "But the wedding chapel, and celebrations in Ball Room."
"They cost a lot. We are just looking a new home to us, we need money for that." Soldier resists.
"I already asked my parents. They promised to pay the bills, and arrange the weddings." Lady responds.
"Didn't know that they are that rich." Soldier wonders.
"It is an old tradition, that woman's parents arranges and pays the weddings ... Question of honor, dad said when I asked it." Lady responds.
"Well. If your dad pays and arranges, why not." Soldier agrees.

Lady sits restlessly on couch. After a while she pushes soldier away, and raises from the coach. She opens the ghost-screen-communicator unit and calls her sister.

"Guess what ... It worked ... I am getting married." Lady begins.
"He swallowed the chapel-ball room plot ?" Sister asks.
"He swallowed it like a child ice cream." Lady rejoices.

"I heard that !" Soldier shouts from the back. He raises from the couch, and walks to Lady Ghost.

"Children, what did he say about the children." Sister asks.
"He said it s up to me. He has to go the front line again." Lady rejoices.
"Ou. I am so sorry." Sister sighs.

"It is not known when. I do not have any missions and orders." Soldier clears things out.
"Do they send married Ghosts to the front lines ?" Sister asks.
"I don't know." Lady says and looks Soldier.
"At the moment they do. Small crisis there on Earth." Soldier responds to Lady's look.
"Also the fathers of the small children ?" Sister gets interested.
"Yes." Soldier says.
"But you are still in Ghost Hall with me." Lady says.

"Is the crisis bad ?" Sister asks.
"We do not know, we are in Ghost Hall. Council has sent many ghosts to front lines recently." Lady answers.

A bell starts to ring at Sister's apartment.
"Ash. Made snack for kids ... Ready now ... Have to go" Sister ends the call.

Lady closes the communicator.
"Clock is quite lot. Working day tomorrow. Shall we go to sleep ?" Lady says. The couple starts to walk to the bedroom.

"You didn't have to do any plans and plots for getting married." Soldier begins.
"Thought you were against it." Lady responds.
"No. I like and love you." Soldier says. begins. "Women often thinks that we men are against marriage."
"And you are not." Lady says.
"No. Hardly anyone is. You cannot make children all by yourself." Soldier responds.

The couple has reached the bedroom.
"Good night, darling. I love you." Soldier wishes. Lady dims the lights.
"Good night, darling. Love you too." She says after she returns from the door.

When we told, that we are working with Wedding March, we were inquired why do we do it, and who will listen it.

When we thought about it, following things came to our mind.

The song is good way refresh your memories from your own weddings, and dream about future weddings.

Just added "Happy Birthday to you", in Special Occasions 1 - Birthday Songs. Few days ago.

"Happy birthday to you" has been a reward song in Remember Me from the 30th November 2012. The song was released there few days before Britney Spears had birthday - 2nd December.
