Today is Friday, last day of August. Quite a many people heading for the last holiday weekend. Had to do some spelling studies with holyday and holiday. Holiday is a day when you are off-duty, holyday is a day like Sunday, Christmas day, and so on.

Clock is quite a lot. Quiet day today. In here.

Not necessarily in United States. Although not much in publicity, Isaac the Hurricane, hit southern parts of United States, and the countries on the way. Like Bahamas and other Caribbean countries. Didn't forget the oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, either. 

Isaac caused lots of damages and killed quite a many people, too. At the moment overall death toll from all countries is 36. 

Isaac is currently strorming and raining in central parts of the United States.

Today we are heading for the Horror Show in Remember Me game. Three new and different kind of horrifying cards in the game. One horror comes from ancient times,  second from caves / movies and third is related to Boys.

Every now then occasional visitors smash Boys to the Google's, Yahoo's, or Microsoft's search. And wonders, why they cannot find a thing from Boys. We do not know why it is so. 

When Boys' popularity is taken to notice, it is bit strange. The number of cards have it's explanation in the earlier Remember Me computer game version. When you use the same cards in all games it is rather difficult to remember the places of the cards. You mix the current game with recently played games. You are certain, that the card is hiding under this cover, but it was there in the previous game.

Good evening. 

It is very quiet here. Boys are away. Jack has been making upgrades to Remember Me. Got requests for getting the new funnier and-or informative texts on screen more freely. At some point game is also getting a new randomizer.  Since the card count is increasing, the new randomizer takes the recently added cards to the first game, there is some sort of grouping system coming to the same upgrade. Not yet known when the new upgrade comes to the game.

GMT clock says that it is high time for little Europeans to go to sleep. Little Asians, Australians and New Zealanders are already sleeping, Americans are in the middle of the day.

Evaluated Oprah activities in the evening. The boost is in line with the other things we have done and promoted here. Ended into a split decision with sobbing Rihanna. Around 50% from additional viewers were her fans, and around 50 our listeners/visitors ( = you ). If you do not remember words from Alice books, sobbing is almost the same as crying. In Alice books, there was this one character, who was always in tears, and got his name from the thing.

We Found . . .

Morning. 

No monkeys today. We made a great discovery early in the morning.

We found . . . khrrm . . . couple of great imitators. These creatures can learn to speak and repeat your words . . . another name for the monkeys and copycats have been discovered . . . 

These creatures have also something else in common with earlier mentioned monkeys. Pirates of Caribbean used to held these exotic things as pets. And if you want to, you can have one without violating any laws.

In real life these creatures live near Waka-Waka Woman, Shakira. They live in Colombia, South and Central America and South and Central Africa too. Not forgetting Australia, New Zealand and Oceania.

And now we come to the point. Couple of the singers of the kind got lost last night. Eventually they found their way in to the Cover Show on the front page. You can find them from there.

There is a new calendar girl, too. She shares the origin with our new singers. She comes from Latin America.

In the 70's "The cat crept in" was a hit single from Mud. Today the cat crept in to Remember Me game. Not just any cat. A real wild cat came to play with you. 

Tom Cruise's co-actor used to play our cat in the movie, in the very same movie Germany's capitol sung a hit song. Song talked about smothering. The cat had also a car with it's name. The cousin of our cat is very famous French movie character.

One thing was forgotten. Oprah did get her second best ratings after getting best selling musician and proper promotion to her show. Over 2.3 million people watched the results from Oprah's visit to Barbados. Over twice as much as usual.  Like Oprah activities with Madonna and other musicians.  Most watched Oprah show ever got little over 3 million viewers. The boost to ratings came from Whitney Houston's death.

Hello. For the last time for today.

The parrots are rather expensive pets, they cost hundreds of euros. The most expensive thousands. Besides parrots there are also smaller parrots, called budgerigars. Very popular pets. ( Handier as an indoor pet and for birdcage ) These birds cannot learn to speak, but they look like parrots. Only smaller in size than parrots. Prices of budgerigars start from 10 euros, young birds with rare colors costs few hundred euros.

We have been listening eye music. Started with "Eye of the Tiger" from Survivor and Rocky.  Continued with "Angel Eyes" from Abba and finally ended the sight seeing with Kate Bush's "The man with a child in his eyes."

The quiz about Chevrolet Corvair is of course true.  Besides the safety, another poor thing in rear engine cars are small trunks. Rods which are needed for steering takes lots of space from the trunk. 

The independent suspension, which is mentioned in for example in Wikipedia as Corvair's most dangerous thing, was the only good and advanced thing in the car. It belongs to the things, which improves the safety and steering capabilities of the car. A well known fact from car engineering.

In the 60's Chevrolet built a car called Chevrolet Corvair. It had rear engine, just like VW 1200 / Beetle. Mr. Ralph Nader wrote a book about the car. And how dangerous it is in accidents. Us Car manufacturers opposed the book with all possible means. They wanted to continue to the construction of the dangerous cars. At the cost the lives of their customers. Do you remember the names of the car manufacturers who started to make money and business with safety ?

Swedish SAAB and Volvo reacted to the book in positive way. They started to build safer cars. Got a high status and higher prices from their cars. Other European car makers followed the Swedish car manufacturers almost immediately.

Corvair was the only rear engine car in US car markets. Rear engine car needs different driving techniques than other cars. In curves they tend to go straight.

Very typical for the bold headed opponent is that Chevrolet was concerned, and made improvements to car's over steering feature, although car itself under steers in curves. In rear engine cars there is not much weight on the front wheels, therefore all rear engine cars tend to go straight in curves. Especially on slippery and icy road. If the frontal construction of the rear engine car is weak, it is very to die in a typical "straight-to-ditch" accident.

If you look at the picture from Corvair, you see the worst possible design for common use rear engine car. The engine is placed after the rear-axle. In the old European rear engine cars,  Skoda, VW 1200 / Beetle and Fiat 500 / 600 / 850, the engines were placed over the rear-axle. When safety came to car manufacturing, rear engine cars died rather quickly. Used in sport and race cars only. In these cars the light front axle is weighted and pushed to the ground with aerodynamics. Spoilers and body shape.

Porsche 911 is also a rear engine car.
